Ben Jeffery
US Rates Strategist, Fixed Income Strategy
Ben Jeffery is a Strategist on the U.S. Rates Strategy Team at BMO Capital Markets. He focuses on fixed income investment strategy, specifically on interest rates and auction dynamics in the U.S. Treasury market. In addition, he provides daily commentary on a variety of monetary policy and macroeconomic trends and their impact on financial markets. Before joining the strategy team, Ben worked on BMO’s convertibles / equity-linked sales and trading desk following his time as a Trading Products Summer Analyst where he worked in the Delta One group and focused on total return equity swaps, reverse/conversions, and securities lending. Previous to that, Ben was a research intern at Whale Rock Capital Management where he worked in Boston, Beijing, and Shanghai researching and interpreting trends in the “Technology, Media and Telecom sectors” in China.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College where he studied World Politics, Chinese and Mathematics.
